Website and sales terms
Terms & Conditions
The general terms for using the OfficePoint Kenya website, requesting quotations and purchasing office furniture.
A website listing does not guarantee that every quantity or finish is immediately available.
Checkout submits an order request; OfficePoint confirms acceptance and fulfilment.
The final amount, method, route and timing are confirmed for the order.
The separate Returns & Refunds Policy contains the full conditions.
1. Agreement and scope
By using this website, submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and the policies linked from them. If you place an order for a company or another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
These are general terms. A written quotation, invoice, order confirmation or project agreement may add product-specific or order-specific terms. Where there is a direct conflict, the more specific written term applies to that order, subject to applicable law.
2. Website use
Use the website lawfully and do not attempt to interfere with its security, accounts, checkout, pricing, content or operation. Product pages and buying tools are provided for genuine customer and procurement use.
OfficePoint may correct, update, suspend or remove website content where necessary. Access may be limited during maintenance or for security reasons.
3. Product information
OfficePoint aims to describe products accurately, but dimensions, shades, wood grain, fabric colour, screen display and minor manufacturing details can vary. Images may include props or room settings that are not part of the product.
Confirm critical dimensions, finishes, included parts, load requirements and intended use before ordering. If a material error is discovered before dispatch, OfficePoint will explain the correction and allow the order to proceed, change or be cancelled as appropriate.
4. Prices and availability
Prices are shown in Kenya shillings unless stated otherwise. A website price may be corrected if it results from a clear technical or listing error. OfficePoint will not dispatch at a corrected price without the customer’s agreement.
Stock, colour and quantity remain subject to confirmation. An item displayed online is not a guarantee of immediate availability. If an item is unavailable, OfficePoint may offer a reasonable alternative, revised timing or cancellation and refund of money already paid for that unavailable item.
5. Orders and quotations
Completing checkout or sending a purchase request is an offer to buy. The order is accepted when OfficePoint confirms the product, quantity, price, delivery or collection arrangement and payment requirement.
A quotation is valid for the period stated on it and may depend on stock, supplier pricing, measurements and site conditions. Changes to quantity, specification, destination or scope may require a revised quotation.
6. Payments
Available payment methods are shown at checkout or confirmed with the order before dispatch.
Use only payment instructions shown through an authorised OfficePoint channel. OfficePoint may require full payment, a deposit or another agreed arrangement before dispatch or production. Ownership of goods may remain with the seller until the agreed amount is paid in full, to the extent permitted by law.
Customers are responsible for giving accurate billing information and retaining the receipt or transaction confirmation.
7. Delivery and collection
Delivery coverage, charges, access responsibilities, inspection and failed-delivery terms are set out in the Delivery Information page. Delivery dates remain estimates until confirmed.
Risk passes when the furniture is delivered to the confirmed recipient or collected by the customer or customer-appointed transporter, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
8. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Eligible returns, order problems and approved refunds are handled under the Returns & Refunds Policy. Custom, made-to-order, assembled or specially sourced products may have change-of-mind restrictions.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that a customer has under applicable consumer law.
9. Warranty and care
A warranty applies only where it is stated for the product or confirmed in writing. Warranty duration and coverage can differ by manufacturer, supplier and component.
A warranty does not normally cover fair wear, misuse, overloading, unauthorised modification, poor storage, water or fire damage, incorrect assembly by the customer, or damage during customer-arranged transport. Follow the product’s care and usage instructions.
10. Responsibility and liability
OfficePoint is responsible for loss that the law makes it responsible for. To the extent legally permitted, OfficePoint is not responsible for indirect business loss, lost profits, delays outside reasonable control, misuse of a product or inaccurate information supplied by the customer.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, personal injury caused by negligence, defective products where liability cannot be excluded, or another right or remedy that law does not permit the parties to limit.
11. Intellectual property and reviews
The OfficePoint name, logo, website design, original copy and other owned materials may not be reproduced for commercial use without permission. Third-party product names and media remain the property of their respective owners.
If you submit a review or image, it must be truthful, lawful and based on your experience. You allow OfficePoint to display and moderate that content for the website and related customer communication.
12. Changes, disputes and governing law
OfficePoint may update these terms when the website, business practices or law changes. The version published when an order is accepted normally applies to that order unless a later change is legally required or agreed.
Raise a concern with OfficePoint first so it can be reviewed. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and disputes are subject to the courts or lawful dispute-resolution bodies of Kenya.
